The market place is
filled with much opportunities and traps. To the unwary businessperson and
staff, the pain inflicted from betrayal by business associates, staff or
ex-staff, lost business deals, office politics etc can often bring much pain,
which paralyses the business owner and keeps him from moving forwards. Matthew
will be sharing his personal experience in dealing with such pain and how one
can find God's purpose in the treacherous market place.
Matthew will also share
his experience of persevering through the dry spells, and the need to be able
to understand the times and seasons of business cycles and to know what to do,
just like the sons of Issachar. He will explain what it takes to position yourself
and your business to maximally leverage on the divine opportunities that
suddenly comes when God intervenes through supernaturally orchestrated
situations.

About the Speaker:
The story of Su Shi Ming,
or Kelvin Soh is one that personifies God's work of salvation and redemption.
A handsomely chiseled face with lines that tell of a well-beaten path, we cannot have guessed or
imagined the past of this Gospel singer.
Kelvin was born in a broken home to a mother that abandoned him as a baby and a drug
addict father. Because of the background, Kelvin inevitably delved into a world
of drugs and gangs by the age of thirteen. The next twenty years of his life
was spent going in and out of jail for drug abuse and petty crimes to feed his addiction.
The wake-up call finally came when he was given three strokes of the cane for
repeated drug offenses. Seething from the pain, he was handed a Bible by a non
Christian prison warden. As he read the verse from Hebrews about how the Lord
chastises those whom He loves, Kelvin broke down
and gave his heart to Jesus. Today he travels all over Asia to minister in song
and share his testimony, to give hope to the hopeless.
Although Kelvin is a man of little education and with no background in music, the songs
that he had composed have touched the multitudes who have heard them.
Kelvin shares that when he writes his music and lyrics, he relies totally on the
Holy Spirit to give him inspiration because he has limited knowledge.
Come and hear from Kelvin, how a down trodden life was made whole by the grace of God and changed
by the power of the Holy Spirit. Come to witness how God has touched him, strengthened
him, provided for him, and transformed him to be such a powerful vessel of
blessing to all in the marketplace. In the past, Kelvin had nothing. Today, he
lacked nothing because he has God who provided for his every needs. Come and be
empowered for business!
PAST EMPOWERMENT EVENTS:

God brought together about 160 people for a time of learning from His servant Peter Tsukahira. Many had a time of personally ministry with Peter. God is good all the time!
Personal Transformation That Leads To Marketplace Transformation
The biblical character I would like to use as a theme for my message is one of Jesus' disciples: Peter. In this man we see leadership, anointing and personal strength but a character that had to be transformed from its undeveloped state for the man to reach his potential. Peter's unbroken pride and self-reliance were stumbling blocks that almost destroyed his usefulness to God. Many young businesspeople are like Peter. After he had at last been humbled by his disgraceful denial of the Lord, Jesus Himself restored Peter, and called him again to follow his Master. In the process of restoration, Jesus' call to Peter was simply to "feed my sheep" - that is, to humbly and effectively serve the needy ones closest to him. In answering that lowly call to service, Peter was transformed into a mighty apostle of faith - performing the miracles we see in the Book of Acts.
Today, God's call to business is a call to serve. Those businesses that provide the most value to the most people in need will always prosper. Success in the marketplace is found by loving your neighbours in a practical and professional way. Christian businesspeople, like the disciple Peter, must have transformed character marked by integrity and love for others in order to prosper and build up the kingdom of God at the same time. Come and be transformed and empowered for your business!

Steering Your Business in a World of Deception Valerie has overcome many life challenges in her family, work, and ministry to emerge as one of the most successful business woman in Singapore. In 2008, Valerie was voted as one of the two Woman Entrepreneur of the Year. Many times in our different roles, at different phases of our life, we are often faced with challenges and decisions. The routes we take and the decisions we make must solely rely on our faith in God, and what we believe to be the truth. But we must be careful at all times as the devil not only comes to steal, kill and destroy, he comes to deceive and twist the truth. Valerie will share the challenges she faced at different seasons of her life, how by being deceived by the devil caused her to plunge further and how when she started planting her hope in God through faith, He turned things around for her.

A good number of well known economists have singled out the highly paid investment bankers as the cause of the recent financial crisis. Many of us may attribute the economic crisis to greed. Mr Benny Ong calls it serious issue of a crisis of integrity. Many of us, irrespective of our faith, know the difference between right and wrong in most situations. But we may be too focused on profitability without having any impact in the marketplace, and that makes us no different from a pre-believer. What God is looking for is a people who can not only talk or preach integrity but also walk in integrity in business. Can we as Christian businesspeople walk the talk in the marketplace? What will it cost us? Benny will share his experience and discuss two case studies on this important topic for Christians to be effective in the marketplace.
Keynote Speaker: Benny Ong (founding director of a financial advisory firm)

God's Next Tsunami - The Tidal Wave That Will Be Spreading Across Asia.
The gospel of the kingdom preached by Jesus is the good news of His rulership in every area of human life and society. Wherever this gospel has been received it has transformed people as well as culture and brought with it great economic power and political influence. Since the earliest days in the Book of Acts this gospel has been spreading westward from Israel and changing the world.
Today, the gospel of the kingdom is sweeping into Asia like a tidal wave. The current Global Financial Crisis that started in the USA signifies a shift in the spiritual and economic influence in the world. What will be the result of this historical and spiritual tsunami of change? How will it affect businesses in Asia? What is its impact on your business?
Keynote Speaker:
